Paris hotel near cafe/restaurants

I would like to find a hotel in central Paris where there are restaurants or cafes within one to two blocks. Prefer a max of about $350 a night, less would be great! I am traveling with my 90+ year old mother and would prefer not to uber/taxi for every meal. Have tried searching, but while "restaurants nearby" could work for me, it could be too far for mom. Thanks!

There are cafés/restaurants on most streets in most of Paris. Especially in central Paris, in the 3rd, 4th arrondissement (the Marais and Ile St Louis), the 5th (Latin Quarter), the 6th (St Germain-des-Près area).

I like using Booking.com to find hotels because i can put in filters and the reviews are guaranteed to be real - unlike TripAdvisor and other websites.

One of my favorite hotels is on Ile St Louis… Hotel de Lutèce.

As Susan said, there are lots of hotels in Paris very near restaurants. But for some specifics suggestions, how about Le Relais Saint Germain. It has a restaurant on the premises and one across the street and one around the corner and a wine bar next door. I don't know when you are going but it might be in budget for one room. For two rooms, it is out of budget. Or you could stay at Hotel Odeon Saint Germain which is about 120 meters from Le Relais Saint Germain and costs less. And both are well-situated for catching the bus with Mom for the days that you do not want to take a taxi or uber to get around. You may want to specify when you will betraveling and if you want one for two rooms for your budget.
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I like Le Relais Saint Germain for you. It is across the street from a taxi stand. If your mother can walk 2 minutes, you coucl get to about five places to eat that I can think of: The Moose (Canadian) Breizkh Cafe (crepes), Les Editeurs (a French see and be seen kind of place), Le Danton and Le Relais Odeon. Should you decide to try the metro, the Odeon stop is nearby and it has an escalator. Three minutes away is Vagenede. The food is okay but the decor is very classic.

Hotel Residences des Artes. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Several others on the same street. Many more within a block or two. Perfect location. Get the jr. Suite, it is palatial by Paris’s room size standards. Includes a mini fridge and microwave (very rare), bathtub and seperate shower. Tiny elevator - just wide enough for two people.

There are more than 5000 restaurants and 1500 cafes in Paris,
What would be difficult is to find a place without a cafe or restaurant nearby.
Just avoid areas with sloping streets or stairs like Montmartre.

you will be tripping over places to eat once you're in Paris. more important to find a hotel in your price and amenities range (and that's where our friend Rick can be helpful, as well as the F twins).

Also avoid areas near the outskirts. Often these areas are restaurant and cafe deserts. Two that I know are the 14th between Porte d'Orléans and Cité Universitaire and 20th Porte de Bagnolet to Gambetta.

...and 20th Porte de Bagnolet to Gambetta.

And just after Gambetta, note that there is no restaurant or café in the Père Lachaise cemetery. :))

I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant connected to the hotel. Their spicy pizza even reminded me of what I had in Rome just a week prior to arriving in Paris. I have eaten a few times a Le Saint Andre (1 Rue Suger). When in the area I get my sandwiches when heading towards Jardin Luxembourg from Mich' Sandwiches (10 Pl. Saint-Michel). There are many different ethnic restaurants in the area. Its a busy location full of tourists.

Thanks brushtim, really appreciate your recs. I know the area very well but have never eaten there as it seems so touristy and tacky. I go through the area often on my way to the Luxembourg Gardens, so now i know where to stop for food, thx! Just fyi, Café Rostand across the street from the LG entrance by the Médici Fountain is very good. Haven’t found any other place surrounding the LG that’s good.

It looks like the OP may not return to this thread but it is providing some very useful information for a very popular part of town. I just sent a link to this thread to a friend who was asking for hotel suggestions near Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame RER B stop.
