Admittedly, I have not stayed here but I jotted it down for future reference as a place that looked nice for the money: Tribe Hotel Batignolles.

Hotel Balmoral at 6 rue du General Lanrezac is on a quiet street in a great location near the Arc de Triomphe and the Charles De Gaulle Etoile Metro. I am not sure what price range you are looking for. This could be a good option.

I forgot about one: Hotel Darcet. It has a cosy (12 square meters) room for singles.

Thank you for the suggestions. We're going to try out Hotel de Banville. It had good reviews and fit our budget.

Great choice. I love Hotel de Banville. It used to have lovely music but for some reason, I thought it was out of budget so I did not suggest it.I guess that is what happens when I try to guess a budget.

Yeah, that’s a higher class than I expected given the original question. Also confused by the “we” and “our” given the request for hotel for a “solo traveler.”
No skin off my back, but it would be helpful if people defined their budget more precisely.
