Paris hotel for 1 night---close to Jardin de Luxembourg

I will be in Paris for a week and need a place for 1 night only and can't extend. Have late flight out of Orly and basically want to chill and absorb my last night/day in Paris. Nothing to expensive (2-3 stars) (150-200 $) close to Luxembourg Garden.

What is your budget in Euros? A single or double room?

How do you plan to get to Orly? If taking the metro, I would look for something near Chatelet on Metro line 14. If taking taxi, you have more options.

TY JeanM for replying. I will be a single and budget around 150-200. After thinking further, I would like to stay as close to Jardin de Luxembourg as possible so I can spend time there, it's such a wonderful place.

When will you be there?

Regardless, the Luxembourg Gardens area is an expensive one, and I think will be difficult for you to find something in that price range. $150 to $200 converts to around €130 to €175 right now, and that's pretty low for the lower arrondissements. I would suggest upping your budget for that one night. I was there in very early April and paid around €320 ($366) for a room in a 3-star hotel in St. Germain. Prices will be more expensive in late spring, summer and early fall.

Mardee and JeanM,

TY again for the replies. I will be there in mid-Nov. I know the $ will be higher in that area. JeanM, I will check that hotel, ty for the suggestion.

I have a reservation at the end of August at the
Hotel Fontaines du Luxembourg
4 rue de Vaugirard
75006 Paris

I am paying €180 per night. This includes breakfast. Since I haven’t stayed there yet, I can’t give a personal recommendation, but it looks fine.

TY Mary and Renee. Both of these look good. My rate in Nov. is higher, even other days in Nov. are considerably lower, don't understand why, esp. over 3 months out. And it's a Thursday into Friday. Fontaine is 224E which does include bkfst. Not too crazy.

I did a quick google search on Paris events in November and it appears there are several conference and events that may be driving hotel prices.

  • "November 2025 includes events like "Real Estate & New Tech" and "Condominium and Housing Fair", among others.”
  • "Disneyland Paris will be hosting its Disney Enchanted Christmas from November 8, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The Paris Photo event, a major gathering for photography enthusiasts, will take place from November 13 to 16. Additionally, the New Beaujolais Festival will be celebrated with wine tastings and festivities across France, including Paris, from November 19 to 23."

TY Mary. I figured there always something going on. TY so much for looking into that...The Wine Festival sounds like I need to check on that, as I will be in Paris from the 12th on and in Provence from Oct. 31st.

I have stayed at French Theory and was very happy there. Their single room is nice and cosy.
I will be staying at l'hotel Trianon Rive Gauche in September. When I was booking, options were limited for the type of room I was looking for.

Enjoy your trip!
