We have an early afternoon flight out of CDG airport. The plan is to take a train from Rouen to Paris the day prior. I am looking for an area of Paris that is convenient to the incoming train to Rouen, and an outgoing train to the airport the next day.
TIA
Your train arrives from Rouen at the Gare St. Lazare and goes to the airport from the Gare du Nord which aren’t far from each other.
If you get a hotel somewhere near the big department stores or the Opera Garnier, you’ll get to the station in the morning in about 10 minutes by taxi. You could even jump on the metro if you can manage your luggage.
This is so helpful! We booked a hotel a few minutes from Opera Garnier. It looks like there is also a bus that goes to CDG that stops at OG.
Thank you.
Yes, the Roissy Bus makes frequent trips from the stop on the r. Scribe. Just make sure you allow sufficient time.

I almost always stay near Gare Saint-Lazare on my way to and from Normandy and almost always take the RoissyBus to/from the airport. The bus leaves from across the street from Opera Garnier, which is a 7-minute walk from the train station. £13/pp door to door. There are several modest hotels within a block from Gare Saint-Lazare. I have stayed at Hôtel Caumartin (an Asotel property), and Hôtel Le Relais Madeleine. They were fairly basic but perfectly suitable. Both are actually closer to Opera Garnier than the train station, so it should make for a quick getaway in the morning. There are several places to eat nearby as well. If you have more than two people or an inordinate amount of luggage, you could also take a taxi from that area to CDG. If staying in this area I wouldn't even consider taking the train to the airport. It is unnecessary, smelly, and more complicated than simply grabbing a bus or a taxi.
