Paris Hotel Choice - 6th or 7th - only have two days

In planning our Christmas Market trip, we were able to squeak out two extra days and decided to spend them in Paris. I know that we won't be able to see/do much, but hoping it will give us just a taste for a return trip. In looking at hotels in our price range, I've narrowed it down to two:
Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg in the 6th and Hotel Relais Bosquet in the 7th. I'm leaning towards the one in the 6th.

Has anyone out there stayed in either of these? For a first time visitor with only two days, I'm thinking the one in the 6th would be better. What do you think?

As always, thanks for your help

I just got back from 4 nights at the Relais Bosquet and it was great. Clean, comfortable, and convenient with a helpful friendly staff. Also an excellent full breakfast with eggs, meats and amazing breads and rolls was included free of charge as I liked them on Facebook and booked there. 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, 2 blocks to the Metro, 2 really good restaurants nearby, Café Constant and La Petite Troquet, and a block from Rue Cler. We had a view of the Tower from our room. Next to the Tower is the dock for the Seine cruises and also a stop for the HOHO Bus. I thought the hotel and the location were perfect and I highly recommend it.

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate your input about the restaurants in the area too.

I haven't stayed at either hotel but I'd choose the 6th over the 7th. The 6th is more central and much more fun imo.

I would choose which ever one is closest to a Metro stop. I have stayed twice in the 7th and love the area. It is nice being in walking distance of the Eiffel tower and the military museum. Although I lived the Londress Eiffel we changed to the Eiffel Turenne it was half the price and much closer to the Metro.
