Paris - Gare du Nord to Relais Bosquet Hotel in the 7th

Is there a bus line from Gare du Nord train station to Relais Bosquet hotel in the 7th? Also, need to know if there is a bus line to CDG airport? Thank you in advance.

Yes, there is a bus to CDG. In fact, there are four that I know of from Paris but you need to tell people if you will be going to the airport from the hotel or elsewhere in Paris to get good, specific information. For planning trips in Paris using mass transit, you can always check at www.ratp.fr/en. I don't know of a bus route that would not require a good deal of walking or a change of buses. The one direct route I know is on bus 94 which you pick up at Gare du Nord and exit near the Assemblee Nationale and walk the rest of the way (20 minutes).

We have arrived in Paris at Gare du Nord at least twice and transferred to the Relais Bosquet, by taxi. It will cost about €25 and avoid hassle with public transportation especially if you arrive during rush hour. We use the taxi rank to ensure a legal taxi.

At Gare du Nord, ensuring that you get into the correct taxi line and get into a Taxi Parisian will not prevent an attempt at a rip-off. There have been stories recently of taxi drivers trying to pull scams at that station. Here is one from 2017 reported on the SNCF question and answers site: https://questions.sncf.com/questions/1488052-taxi-driver-cheating-scam-at-the-official-accredited-taxi-queue and from this year posted on Trip Advisor https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187147-i14-k12432897-Taxi_scam_Gare_du_Nord-Paris_Ile_de_France.html In the past year or so, two have tried with me. I think they assumed that because I was speaking English with my companions and we had just gotten off a train from London that we had no idea about taxi fares in Paris. I prefer to use Snap Car for pick ups from Gare du Nord these days and will continue to do so until they get the drivers straightened out.

You could take the 20 minute Metro #4 from Gare du Nord and change to the #8 at Strasbourg-St Denis. Exit at Ecole Militaire stop. Only costs €2.

We did that trip by metro, non rush, no problem. Rain held off til we were near. We did walk right by the entrance tho. Look carefully.

I wouldn't take the bus, it is such a slow ride, and I don't find that you see much from a city bus window. Metro is far better if you can handle the stairs (unfortunately there are quite a few on that route, especially at Strasbourg Saint Denis where you need to transfer), or a taxi (being mindful of scams) / uber / etc.

On the way back, you are reasonably close (1km) to where the Bus direct line 2 departs for CDG. But price wise, at 17€ it is a good choice for a single traveler, ok for 2 if money's tight, but much less so if there's 3+ of you. A 62€ prebooked G7 taxi is much better value in my opinion.

The route of the bus 42 which ran from Gare du Nord to the Rue Cler area was changed earlier this year. Now bus service from Gare du Nord to the Rue Cler area requires a change of buses midway, which wouldn’t be my first choice if you are new to Paris. Unfortunately the taxi is probably your best option for step-free access.

As balso mentioned, Le Bus Direct leaves from the Étoile / Champs Elysées area for the trip to CDG. A quick bus ride from Avenue Bosquet near your hotel will bring you to the Bus Direct stop. https://www.lebusdirect.com/en/lines-and-schedules/cdg-airport-paris-etoile-champs-elysees-line.html

If you take a taxi from Nord be sure they are running the meter. Make them stop and let you out if they are not. It is a hot bed of scammers. If they quote a price, they are cheating you; that is not how it works except for the airports. If they show you a card with prices on it, they are scammers. There have been reports of the charging 55 for 15 Euro trips claiming it is the 'fixed fee' (it is the fixed fee from CDG to the left bank)

Thank you very much for all of your responses! You have given me plenty to look into and it’s much appreciated. We will be traveling Thanksgiving week.

I think we took a taxi. You will enjoy this hotel--very nice staff and the market street is very close with great little shops.
