Is it best to take a taxi to the Marais district in Paris from the Charles de Gaulle airport or is some combination of train/taxi or even bus fairly efficient and cost effective? Thanks.
Taxi is 55€ for four persons. The RER/metro combination costs approximately 12€ per adult. For the mass transit option, Chemin Vert is a two-change trip but if either Breguet-Sabin or Richard Leonor stop could work for you, then RER B from the airport to Gare du Nord and then change there for Metro Line 5. If you have a lot of luggage or can’t manage your luggage, take a taxi.
Daughter and I took a taxi from CDG to the Marais a few months ago. Very easy. Fixed rate. We didn't want to haul our tired selves plus luggage on public transport then walk awhile. Just be sure to find the official taxi stand at the airport. Don't accept offers of "taxi" rides from men walking around in or outside the airport offering them.
Thanks all!
either take the train and haul your luggage up metro stairs for 11.25 each. or take a cab for 55. But don't mix them as you won't save that much money and will sort of have the worst of both worlds.
