Paris Friday to Wednesday Metro Passes

I will be in Paris April 4 departing on April 9.
I have a Navigo Douverte pass from a previous visit (month long visit). I arrive at Nord and will use 4 trips on Friday, 4 tickets on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. I will use 3 tickets on Monday and maybe 4-5 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday when I leave Paris. What is my best plan for purchasing passes? I know the Navigo D pass is only valid starting Mondays so don't know what to buy for my specific trip.

Bought pass about 3 years ago.

I also have 2 paper tickets. Are they still good? Thank you

I’m in Paris now and had the same dilemma. I ended up purchasing a Navigo Easy card (€2) and loading it with 6 or 8 rides to get me through Sunday. Then I loaded my Navigo Decouverte with a weekly pass and am using that now. As I’m leaving next Thursday, I’ll have to load a few more rides on the Navigo Easy to get me through some of next week.

You can load days on to your Navigo Decouverte, but at €12/day, I can’t imagine it’s a good value unless you intend to ride the Metro at least 4-5 times in a day. I’m a walker, so…

Alas Janet, Paris doesn't have any great solution for your needs - there is no 72-hour or whatever kind of pass. Just the weekly pass that runs from Monday to Sunday -- and in your case, you would need two of them.

So you are probably better off just getting a Navigo Easy card for 2€ and loading tickets on it.

Yes, paper tickets are still good. Use them on a turnstile that accepts paper tickets (not all of them do anymore, but there is always one).

The only pass that works for your dates is the Visite which is laughably overpriced and designed to hoover money out of the pockets of tourists. The solution for a trip over a weekend is the Navigo Easy as others have noted. If you will actually have a metro heavy day or metro/bus heavy day with 5 or more trips then you can put a day pass for 12 Euro on the Easy card. The Easy passes and tickets cover the entire Ile de France except the airports.
