Paris, Florence and Rome transportation

Good day!
I am traveling with my mother whom gets around very slowly and has problems with her knees. I know the metro isn't a good option for her because of the stairs. Would anyone recommend any other public transit or just spend a lot more money taking taxi's everywhere? (they add up pretty quick! ) Also, does anyone have any experience with Uber or the G7 app for taxi's in Paris and what is best? Hop on hop off bus or boat to get to sites? Renting a mobility scooter? Thank you I'm advance!

The Paris bus system is comprehensive and easy to use for those who have limited mobility.

No need to pay for taxis and in terms of uber style transportation, I prefer Bolt or FreeNow. Download the apps and have them ready in the event you need them.

Taxi G7 is fine, but there is a 4€ supplemental fee to call for pickup, which is why I suggest Bolt or FreeNow.

The HOHO bus is slow, infrequent, and not a particularly good way to travel about Paris. Again, I recommend bus, Bolt, or FreeNow.

I do not sure what a mobility scooter is, but you may be referring to a walking aid. If that is your intention, why not? Anything to help with mobility.

Rome has an excellent bus system and taxis.

Download the CityMapper App on your phone. It will work in all 3 cities and give you real time options and directions.

I did use G7 quite a bit when I was with a friend who had some mobility issues. I did need to have data when out and around and yes, there was a 4E supplement for booking ahead. A couple of times we also hailed a G7 and I was able to pay thru the app. I was happy with the drivers we had as well as the response time in most instances. Do not under any circumstances try to get a cab when it is gushing rain, lol!!

Have a wonderful time showing your Mom around! Whatever you do she will love.

There are folding mobility scooters that many use here in the US and take on planes. I think they have to take the battery out and keep it in the cabin with them. Not sure about being able to rent them in Europe. There may be some FB pages with users of mobility scooters for travel that might have some information as well.
