Paris flooding March 8

Hello! We are leaving for Paris into an 2 1/2 weeks and I was wondering if anybody knew any current information on the flooding and if River cruises such as Viking are continuing to move through that area without any interruptions? I tried to look online and everything goes back to January flooding which has me hopeful that there is nothing current. Thank you so much as always for the wonderful information shared on this forum.

There is not now, nor has there been, any flooding in Paris. Excessive rains caused the Seine to rise resulting in reduced clearance under many of the city´s bridges. This negatively impacted promenade boat operations but, to my knowledge, all have since resumed near normal schedules.

I believe that Viking departs from the 15th arrondissement and is not necessarily affected by the bridges in Paris. There may be concerns elsewhere but your best source of current information would be Viking themselves.

I fail to understand how it can be said there hasn't been any flooding, when the Seine overflowed its banks and some Metro stations were closed. I guess it depends what you consider "flooding," but where I live flooding occurs when water rises enough to interfere with normal transportation and activities like walking along river banks.

Metro stations weren't closed. Certain stops on the RERC that runs along the river were closed. Yes, the flooding. However, this is tricky because only the drives along the Seine banks below the upper street/sidewalk level were flooded. So there was no flooding of Paris streets=no flooding in Paris.

Normal transportation wasn't affected and walks along the Seine were still possible.
