Paris hotel

My husband and I are looking for a hotel in Paris for our last night in Europe where we can get to and from CDG airport simply. Following 2 weeks in Portugal where we celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, we fly into CDG at 14:30 on Friday, May 31st. We fly home to Seattle June 1 from CDG. Any suggestions for hotel/ restaurant/ evening walk for one wonderful night in this incredible city would be vary appreciated. Yes, we have been there twice, visiting major sights 10 years ago.
Thank you

Happy anniversary! Are you sure you want an apartment for just one night? Wouldn't a nice hotel be easier?

I'd think not many apartments would be available for a single night, but our Parisian friends would know better. They would also tell you to look for the 13-digit registration number to make sure the rental is legal, and remind you that the logistics of getting a key, figuring out how everything works, etc. will complicate the few hours you have to enjoy your stay.

If this is your first visit to Paris, it will just whet your appetite for more. If you've been there before, you know there are many choices of neighborhood and accommodation, and have some idea what you're looking for. Maybe you could share a little more info about this.

Bad idea. Agree completely with Dick. Furthermore your chances of finding an apartment for one night are minimal. It's not worth the owner's trouble or yours. If you do find one and the owner has a chance for a longer tenancy from someone else you may find yourself out of a place to stay with no warning. Your best bet for booking security is a hotel.

I'd look for a hotel, instead of worrying about the time it will take to look through all the many rental websites. There are thousands of them.

If you want to drop your bags, be aware that the apartment will probably not be ready, but a hotel will gladly take your baggage.

If you find a 13-digit registration number on the website, it will be legal.

An apartment is going to have a cleaning fee. Even if you could find someone willing to rent for only one night, it’s not worth it. Book a hotel. In fact, you can book one at CDG, drop your bags and go into Paris for a lovely evening.

Thank you for the advise. I have edited my request. A hotel/ restaurant/ evening walk in an area that is a simple commute to CDG airport would be wonderful. Please advise. We have been to Paris twice and visited major sights. This one night is about romance and savoring our last night. Ideas?
Thank you

Even though you've been there twice, why not stay in the very center of Paris? After all, it is a major anniversary so congratulations!! Have you considered Ile St. Louis? We've stayed at Hotel des Deux-Iles and will stay there again. It is quiet and has friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Email them directly with a request for rates, booking, and such you'll probably get a quote within 24 hours. We did not eat breakfast there as it seemed a bit expensive for what was offered. There are plenty of good restaurants are close by. And what better way to end an anniversary trip than an evening stroll along the Seine and Notre Dame?

If they don't have anything available, they have a sister hotel a few doors away named Hotel de Lutece. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there based on our experience at Hotel des Deux-Iles .

Another hotel on the island is Hotel Saint-Louis en l´Isle, but we haven't stayed there. I think they have a dedicated shuttle that will take you to the airport, but I'm not sure what the charge is. Of course taxis from the city from the airport are now a flat rate price so that's also a possibility and should be more convenient than hassling with luggage on the train or shuttle bus.

We stayed at Hotel St Louis and were picked up at CDG by their recommended car service--it cost more than a taxi. Our room as well as the bathroom was tiny and plain. Breakfast was extra--12 euros at that time-- a year ago.

Though I would not pay extra for a taxi pick-up service, you can book yourself online at G7Taxis.

There is a flat fee - 55 EU for the Right Bank, and luggage fees do not apply. Do be certain of your terminal number.

The Hotel Saint-Louis-en-Isle was renovated about 2 years ago. I'd look for St Regis at the tip of the island, next to Notre Dame. I would not recommend the breakfast at the hotel.
