Paris - Fête Foraine des Tuileries

It looks like this is a summer long fair at the Tuileries. No dates have been set for this year, but as I will be in Paris mid to late June, I might be there for this. Is it worth checking out?

Thanks!

It's carnival rides and games and food stands. If you like carnival rides, it's fun.

Otherwise, if the huge ferris wheel is in place, that makes for great views over Paris..

I have never been except for when I had a child to entertain.

I don't know where you are from but it is just like the traveling carnivals that you see in suburbs all over the US in the summer except with some French touches -- slightly better food and beverages. When my son was small, we would take him there in the afternoons after a morning at the museums and that is how we got him to love going to museums. My husband loves going to places that regular people use in their day to days lives like grocery stores, Costco, laundromats, etc. to see how they differ from home so if you are that kind of traveler, the carnival is a nice easy outing.

as noted it is nothing much except for the giant ferris wheel which is a great place for views. I was wandering in the tuilleries on my own last fall and saw it and had a car to myself -- the views are great.

Kim - I do love that kind of thing, and I LOVE Ferris Wheels!

JHK - I’m familiar, but one of the reasons why I would at least check it out is because it’s something Parisians would do. It looks like it’s open very late, so I could just pop by at anytime, which I love

Janet, I love Ferris Wheels, so that’s a must do. I’m so excited if for no other reason than this, lol

Thank you all!!!!
