Paris Decorative Arts Museum and Mode & Textile (Fashion) Musuem

Have been researching these and am finding some confusing information. It sounds like the fashion museum is a part of the decorative arts museum, that the entrance to the two museums are at the same address (near the Lourvre), but I cannot confirm that the entrance fee to the decorative arts museum covers the fashion section also. Has anyone been there recently and can clarify for me?

You can probably "see" this on Google Maps, but having been there, I can tell you it is a few blocks from the Louvre Carousel entrance (that is, the Rivoli entrance to the Carousel Mall.) BOTH museums are entered from the same street archway, and the Mode museum is to the left, and the Decorative Arts Museum is to the right, within sight of each other.

I have only been to the latter, and it is extremely good. It's also a relief for those in your party who are tired of "looking at paintings on walls!" Quality and display are both extremely high. In some other countries, this might be called "the Applied Arts" Museum. It took me a few visits to Paris to get there, but it's just great.

Thanks, yes. I could see on the map where they are. What about tickets? Are there separate tickets for each or do you pay one ticket price which includes both of them?

The Decorative Arts Museum has a textile and clothing collection that is included in the general price for the museum, so yes, only one fee.

However, there is an entirely different Fashion Museum at the Palais Galliera that may be of interest - it's currently closed until 2020 but there is part of the collection currently on show at the Musee Bourdelle near Montparnasse.
