Hi everyone! I will be taking a day trip to Paris from London the first week in June. I was just curious to know if it would be better on a Friday or a Saturday. As far as crowds, costs and hours of operation, etc. I would be taking a tour on a bus through the city to the Eiffel Tower. Lunch and then a cruise along the Seine followed by a visit to the Louvre. Then taking the train back to London. I'm leaning toward Friday because the Louvre hours are longer, staying open until 9:45. Just wanted to know if anyone had anything to add before I make my final decision. Thanks!
The Louvre hours sound like a good reason to choose Friday - making your visit timing there more flexible. (The Sewer Tour is closed on Friday and the Jewish Musuem is closed on Saturday, but it sounds like neither one is at the top of your list.)Restaurants can be busy, but with just one day to spend, you'll probably choose quicker dining options, so you can spend that evening at the Louvre.
Whichever day you choose, book your Eurostar tickets NOW. The longer you wait the higher the fare.
