Has anyone had any experience using Paris City Vision for day trips to the DDay beaches?
I would never spend all day in a bus. That is not my idea of vacation. Normandy takes 2, 3 is better, days. Take the train to Bayeux, stay at the Lion d'Or and arrange for tours from there.
I’m sure it’s a good tour, but you are spending a long time on the bus. If you only have a day, I would look into one of the tours where you take the train to Normandy and they pick you up in a van and take you around if you could possibly do that instead
I took this tour back in 2008 and it was great. We had a great lunch at the Cain Peace Museum. We went to the American Cemetery, Point du Hoc, Arromanches, and Juno Beach. We returned to Paris around 8:30 pm. I highly recommend it. It was a lot less money than the other tours of the invasion beaches. Our guide explained everything on the bus and we were free to wander at the different sites on our own which I liked. I would book it again. Here is a good tip. The bus has two levels for the first 1/3 of the bus. I was first in line to board the bus. I went immediately to the upper level of the bus over the driver. I had the best unobstructed view. Even better than the driver. Very comfortable seats.
