Hello:
Flying into Paris CDG Terminal 1 from U.S., then transferring to Terminal 2 for Air France domestic flight to Marseille, same day.
What are the transfer options and costs?
Thank you
There is an intra airport tram -- the CDGVal which I think is pretty much your option; it is free. It is at the opposite end of the line from Terminal 1 --you go through Roissypole and Terminal 3 and then on to 2. I didn't think Terminal 1 was in use now, but apparently wrong.
There is no cost. You get on the CDGVal at Terminal 1 and get off at Terminal 2. Is Terminal 1 even open now? I read that it is supposed to reopen in December 2022.
I stand corrected. UAL fly to Terminal 2A. I need to transfer to 2F for Air France. My apologies.
From 2A to 2F, you just walk across the center of terminal 2 to reach 2F. If you are using separate tickets, and are not traveling on a single PNR, I would allow 3 to 4 hours between scheduled arrival and scheduled departure. I recently fly Air France (last week) out of CDG, and they have a 2-hour cut-off if you want to check in luggage.
It is a long walk from 2A to 2F but it is a walk. I did this to catch the RER to Paris this spring -- long walk but all indoors and well signed.

This site is easier to use than the official site. It estimates the walk between 2A and 2F at 15 minutes. Crowds could stretch that out. I did it in April without much stress.
Just to clarify... "CDGVal" is an automatic train. It connects all terminals at no charge.
