Paris catacomb tickets

Yes, but I was wonder what time. For the ceremony of the keys tickets I had to start at 6am NY time. I was wondering if they release the tickets at 12:01 am on the new day or later.

Having looked at the tickets offered on the official site, I question if you will be able to get an early in the day time slot even if you log in at the exact moment tickets are offered for 7 days hence. Why? I suspect that tour aggregator sites (like Viator) already have those tickets allotted to them, and the official site is only offering afternoon time slots...just look at future dates for Viator Catacombs tickets (any date more than 7 days out) and they offer at much higher prices the morning tour times...

Just speculating on this, not really sure what is going on with it.

You’re probably right. I’ll give it a try though since I only need 2 tickets. If not I’ll try for a different day in the afternoon.

I read on the website that they only allow tickets 4 days in advance because of fraudulent tickets.

Carol, I think you’re right. It was 7 days at one time but I just checked again and it looks like 4 days now.

I also have been trying to figure out ticket purchase on this site for our trip in late April. They say 4 days, but as of a few minutes ago April 12th and April 14th were the only days not grayed out, and they were both all sold out (in red). I have yet to see the site with any available times, and it seems that if they are selling for 4 days and all 4 days are sold out, there should be 4 dates in red. Has anyone figured out what time tickets go on sale?

I’m very frustrated too. I can’t figure it out. If I remember I will check when i get up tomorrow, around 6:30am. We decided if we don’t get tickets it will be fine. We’ve seen catacombs in other cities. I have other things about our trip still to do.

I just checked the website. The tickets for the 15 were there, the earliest a available was 11:15. They only had tickets till 12:00 up. I will check at 7 am if more are there.

12:15 to 13:00 is now available.

I hope you got tickets Barbara. We went to Catacombs about this same time last year and had no problem getting tkts and Alaska is behind the rest of the US.

Last update, it looks the tickets are released every 15 minutes.
Since we will be in Paris for 9 days I will check when I get there.

I have read a few anecdotes that it is possible to enter the Catacombs without tickets or reservations. Can anyone here comment on that, because this online ticketing situation is absurd. I don't care about audio guides, I just want to walk through whatever one is allowed to see, don't need a guide.

Thanks for your updates Barbara. I checked at what would have been 8 am Paris time 11 April and there were no 15 April tickets yet. So it seems like between 8 and noon somewhere is the magic time when they start releasing morning tickets.

It appears that they are releasing the tickets in 15-minute increments exactly 4 days before. So at 09:45 Paris time on 14 April (sadly 00:45 Pacific Time 14 April), tickets for 09:45 April 18th were released. As I write this at 09:50 Pacific time, they have just released the batch for 18:45 Paris time, and all morning tickets are already sold out.

Does anybody know if one can show up and buy tickets in person for a future time and date? I am going to Paris next month and will be there for more than a week, so I have flexibility with that...is there a "ticket window" or cashier? I am not getting up in the middle of the night here to try and buy tickets, I will just wait until I get there to figure it out...
