I would like to rent a car in Paris after spending a week there and drive to Sarlat-la-Caneda. We are a family of five. Where would be the best place to rent from either in and around paris. I wondered about renting at Orley airport. Any suggestions?

Orly would be a good choice if you don't mind getting yourselves out there. An easier place to reach by Metro might be Gare de Lyon, where you have to drive just a few easy streets to the Quai de Bercy, then the Peripherique, then the A10 out of Paris. It will connect you to the A20 to the Sarlat area.

I've picked up a car at Orly and it was very easy. Took a taxi out there and it was easy to get onto the autoroute & on our way. Have a great trip!

I will look into rentals from Gare de Lyon as that may be much easier for me to get to. Any other location suggestions?
