Paris by night tour advice

Hello!
I will be in Paris for just two days very soon and am trying to decide how to best take in the city alight in the evening. I'm leaning towards a boat tour, but am also considering a biking or walking tour. I would love suggestions from those of you who have tried any of the above and in particular I'm looking for boat tour company recommendations.
Thanks!
Alyssa

The Bateaux Mouches boat tour was very cool at dusk. I think it would beat walking since it covers more area.

I agree with Eric, but there's no reason why you can't do both-have a nice walk just before dinner and a river cruise. Get an early seating (7-7:30) at a nice restaurant after your walk, then hit the boat. Timing is everything for sunset and for Eiffel lighting:

Alyssa I took the Fat Tire Bike tour.. after having visited Paris for many years.. decades really.. but took a friend who really wanted to try the bike tour and bribed me by saying her treat. So glad i did it.. it was fun.. and it INCLUDES a boat tour! Best of both worlds . Not hard I was middle aged when I did it and not a biker.

the eiffel tower lights begin to "sparkle" at 8pm and do so on the hour every hour thereafter 'til midnight or whenever. a boat ride on the river gives a beautiful view of this and the other monuments and buildings. they are lit at night. i'd wait 'til at least 8pm to see the tower sparkle. i think the ride was about an hour, not sure. sometimes the line is very long. you can buy a ticket for a specific time and then show up for that, rather than waiting.
