Paris Boutique Hotel

My eyes have glazed over trying to find a potential hotel for September. Two of us, for a week. We usually do an Airbnb for stays that long, so we can stretch out and have snacks, relax a little bit more. BUT I am willing to explore a smaller hotel this time, if we can get something with a balcony, a bar on property a definite plus. Budget about $400 per night, open to areas.

Hôtel Saint-Petersbourg

It's a gorgeous parisian hotel with a bar and some rooms with balcony

I’ll chime in and agree with @Alexander about the lovely Hotel Saint-Petersbourg Opera. My husband and I spent a full week there last April. It was well, the middle of the pandemic, so we spent more time there and ate in the room more often than we normally would.

Our “deluxe double with terrace” was well-equipped for in-room snacking and stretching out. The good-sized terrace was large enough for a table and 2 chairs and had a charming territorial rooftop view. The room also had a seating area with 2 chairs and a low table, a charming vanity, a mini-fridge and well-stocked coffee station.

The bakery across the street had wonderful breakfast and lunch options which we brought back to the room. Transit, restaurants and shopping were all close by. We didn’t go to the bar but the buffet breakfast (a bit pricey at something like €28 a piece) was the most sumptuous I’ve seen offered and totally worth the splurge.

Easy… Champ de Mars in Rue Cler. Could not recommend the neighborhood or hotel more. The windows with flower boxes look onto a beautiful street with multiple bars right outside your door.

There have been a lot of negative reviews of Hotel Champs de Mars here over the years. Common feedback is married couple owners are very unfriendly, rude. I experienced that with them myself. It’s not a boutique hotel and not in the category of all the other suggestions here. Also, no balconies, no bar. There are cafés nearby, but no bars.

We have stated at the https://www.hotelmottepicquetparis.com/en/ on three trips and it is a nice place, steps from Ecole Militaire Metro and on the corner of the Rue Cler. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We were last there in 2019, when the temp hit what was then an all time high of 108.7 degrees. We were given an extra fan for our room when the AC was not enough. If you get a corner room you can see onto the Rue Cler and the Avenue de la Motte Picquet.
