Paris boutique apartments/hotel… Kitchenette & some outside space for baguette, wine & cheese!

Hi everyone,

My Dad and his partner are spending a week in Paris in October. Given the length of stay the ideal would be an apart-hotel or otherwise boutique apartments (not an Airbnb, but rather a building that is just made up of micro apartments for travellers). Even a hotel with a small kitchenette would work, if there is somewhere to sit (a little balcony, a communal courtyard etc.). They just don’t want to eat out every night, as they are in Europe for 3 weeks… The perfect location would be the 4th or 5th arrondisements, but they are open to others.

Does anyone have any personal recommendations?

Thanks so much,
Lauren

Hotel Louison has a lovely apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. https://www.louison-hotel.com/chambres. It’s in the 6th, not their preferred location, but is well located. A few years ago I gave 2 family members a trip to Paris. I put them up in what is now La Clef Louvre https://www.discoverasr.com/en/the-crest-collection/france/la-clef-louvre-paris?utm_source=google&utm_medium=gmb&utm_campaign=LaClefLouvreParisbyTheCrestCollection&y_source=1_NTg1OTcwNzQtNzE1LWxvY2F0aW9uLndlYnNpdGU%3D and they loved it. No balconies and not in the 4th or 5th. In 2014 (so long ago), we stayed in the appartment at Residence Henri IV. https://www.residencehenri4.com/rooms Nice spot in the 5th but no balcony.

October weather is not always conducive to enjoying balconies and terraces, especially in the later half of the month. Given the scarcity of accommodation with such features, I would treat this as a "nice to have".

Without the budget the suggestions are shots in the dark. I like Guest Apartment Services. Another agency to consider is Paris Perfect, specifically, their apartments on Place Dauphine. Paris Perfect bought an old hotel and renovated it into a number of apartments available for short term rentals. Depending on your point of view, one great thing about that is that you have no locals in the building who are getting annoyed by short-term rentals. The budget will have to be in the over US$600 and more likely US$1,000 per night range for these apartments and much of October 2023 is already booked.

The budget is around 350 Euro a night. I looked at Guest Apartment Services and they look ideal, so have sent them a message. Thank you so much for your help!
