Paris-Black-Cars from/to CDG.

My wife and I are going to Paris for Thanksgiving week this November. I have read several posts here about Taxi's vs. Shuttles. Some of these posts are quite old, as in many years. We will be renting an apartment through AirBnB, so we will not have a hotel clerk to book a return taxi through. In one post somebody mentioned Paris-Black-Cars. A Google search and then a quote from the PBC website shows that the door to door service round trip with a meet, greet, and luggage help costs just under 130 Euros, (65 each way). This is the same price as everyone posts that cabs should cost, only it is a set price, and no fare already on the meter when picked up for the return to the airport. Cars are described as sedan town cars. This seems totally reasonable and cost efficient. Does anyone have experience with this? Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Kevin

I may have answered my own question after a visit to Trip Advisor. Recent posts, in the last 6 months, say to avoid them and tell awful stories. I will just plan to take a taxi from/to the airport. So modifying the question a bit, do you have to have cash for the taxi's or do they take credit cards (I will have a chip card for the trip), and should we just walk the two blocks to a taxi rank for our return? We travel very light, as in on my back.

Thanks again, Kevin

If you are traveling so light, how about taking the RER - save the money and get there pretty quickly...

Nigel,

I understand what you are saying, and if it was just me that is exactly what I would do. However, my wife does not sleep well on planes (I practically go into a coma) and she has difficulty adjusting to time-zone changes, so in the interest of starting the holiday off rested, taxi is the best option.
