We will be landing in Geneva, the morning of 30th June and heading back to the US from Geneva on the morning of 7th July.
Here is our preliminary plan. So long as we get to spend three days in Paris, we are totally open to anything that we need to do while based in Geneva
for the rest of the time. Hiking and such activities are out as one of us uses a wheelchair. We are looking for some suggestions for
room (hotel, B&B, AirBnB, etc). that you have had positive experience with, and is near public transportation and in a safe place (note: wheelchair for longer distances. Can do without a wheelchair in a hotel room or apartment. Can take a flight of stairs to the second floor).
Preliminary Plan (we can alter it based on your suggestions)
1) Land in Geneva the morning of 30th June at 8 AM.
2) 30th June until 1st July 4 PM in Geneva
a) Open to ideas for what to do in and around Geneva (Note: parents and a 12 year old. one of us uses a wheelchair)
b) Open to ideas for stay. Any positive experiences with hotels, B&B, AirBnB ?
It will be nice if we can get a room for well under $200 with easy access to public transportation (note: one wheelchair)
3) Leave 1st July after 6 PM for Paris by TGV and leave Paris back for Geneva the morning of 5th July.
Three full days in Paris: 2nd, 3rd and 4th July.
Louvre, Eiffel Tower, the usual tourist sites, possibly the kick-off of the Tour de France
a) Open to ideas of what to do in Paris other than Louvre, Eiffel Tower that a typical 12 year old would enjoy.
b) Open to ideas for stay. Any positive experiences with hotels, B&B, AirBnB ?
It will be nice if we can get a room for well under $200 with easy access to public transportation (note: one wheelchair)
4) Back in Geneva on the afternoon of 5th July.
a) 5th July (Partial Day) - Check in, possibly rent a car and visit Annecy (the Sunday Market) . Open to ideas
b) 6th July (Full Day) - Open to ideas - Chamonix? Matterhorn? Anything else?
