PARIS ARRONDISEMENTS AND SAFETY

Hi guys!! Still planning my trip, that is getting very close!

So, I was checking hostels in Paris, trying to decide where I'm gonna be staying. I'm travelling solo so the main concern for me is safety. I wanna be able to move around without fear, just the basic care that one has to take while travelling abroad, specially alone.

So, I'm here to check what do you think about the differente arrondissements. So I was looking at a couple of hostels, and I would like your opinions on the areas.

First, there's one on Montmartre in Rue Aristide Bruant. There's one on the Latin Quarter in the rue Mouffetard. Then there is the St. Chistopher's inn ones. One in the rue de Crimee and the other close to Gare du Nord, in the rue de Dunkerque.

So considering the general locations of this hostels and mainly focusing on safety what are your ideas? Any help will be greatly aprecciatted!!!!!! :) :)

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

Now from a third person..stay in the nicest of your choices, rue Mouffetard, and explore the other areas in the light of day.

The St Christopher in the 19e is right on the Basin de Villette with views of single women (and men) out jogging along the Basin and the canal many hours of the day and night, shares a building with a very modern Holiday Inn Express, a very short walk to 2 different Métro stations on one line (the 7) and about 3 or 4 minutes further to another line, and a very short walk to the number 54 bus line.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in the same building and really liked the area.
