hey hey ss
how many people are traveling, your dates, and budget in euros, is this first time in paris?
my own opinion is that you should stay closer into the center, yes further out is more reasonable but add in the transportation (metro, bus, taxi or lots of walking (no cost but tired and sore feet/legs, the whole picture) wear comfy shoes, uneven pavement/cobblestones, hilly places, stairs/steps.
are you traveling easter or spring break? it will be busy and crowded but you will have fun. you need to book something now with 4 people, booking.com put in your filters left side, cross-pollinate.com, airbnb/vrbo (be careful since the crackdown on short term rentals, make sure there is a 13 digit license number for legality) read the fine print, look at pictures carefully, look at 2 rooms in a hotel if possible, or if there are any family/quadruple rooms available at this time.
you have a list of things you want to see and do, eiffel tickets are a timed/date entry (toureiffel.paris), your time is too short to enjoy everything in paris to do a day trip, stay in town. don't count your last day in paris since it's departure day. you will need to shower, breakfast, pack up, check out, get to airport 3 hours ahead of time if traveling back to USA or beyond. don't wanna be doris downer but it's the facts, just be prepared with research and info and no stress, enjoy. sit at outside cafe for a glass of vino/beer/soda and people watch, the magical city of light is all around you.
