Paris and what other city?

I am flying into Paris in November and have not planned what other city might be a good place to spend a week or so. I haven't booked a ticket back yet since I don't know what I am doing. I have done eastern France already. Any suggestions on great villages or towns to spend time in?

London might be an option. I have done a lot of Italy and Germany in recent years. I would like to get suggestions on specific French towns.

I suggest the area around Nice. i love Villefranche-sur-mer, about 5 km from Nice. Great train and bus service along the coast. There is so much to see in that area. There are also coastal trails to walk, it is such a beautiful area. A bit inland but accessible by bus is Eze, which has a lovely botanical garden high up above the water, that is one of my favourite places.

I visited Villefranche first on a RS tour, then returned there for a month at a language school, and have been back 2 more times

Enjoy your trip.

OK, specific French towns, not in "eastern" France (but not sure what is meant by "eastern France"?):
Versailles (near Paris, but separate)
Rouen
Tours
Bordeaux
Toulouse
Reims
Lyon
Avignon
Arles
Marseille
Nice

Its November. The south will not be warm, and its dark out early,so look for places that have some indoor activities.

Because of budget flights in Europe, you really have a lot of options. London is the most obvious choice because of proximity, but you could consider maybe Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, somewhere in Italy, Germany, maybe even Eastern Europe. Look on www.skyscanner.com for budget flights. Also, consider flying into one city and out of another if you are picking a city far from Paris. I hope this helps some.
