We are excited about the RS Paris and the Heart of France tour! What were the hotels you used on that tour? And what were your impressions of each?
Well, I took this long ago but I do mostly remember my tour hotels:
Paris - Hotel l'Empereur I really liked this hotel and have stayed there on my own since then.
Bourges - Best Western Plus Hotel d'Angleterre This was very nice but only one night
Amboise - I'm pretty sure in looking at the google street view we stayed in Hotel Bellevue. This was an excellent location. I don't really remember my room but I'm a solo traveler so it was likely small, lol.
Mont Saint-Michel - Auberge Saint Pierre. This was one of my least favorite accommodations. They have several outlying buildings so I went up the street to another building. It was OK. Only for one night but I'd not choose to stay here again. I remember it being fairly dark and of course because of it's location, dampish.
Bayeux - Hotel d'Argouges This hotel was awesome! Wow. I was in the main building and my single room was huge. Just lovely and well-located
Paris - ending hotel for 1 night: Hotel Montfleuri This hotel was very nice but I'm not crazy about the neighborhood. It's right near the Arc de Triomphe and it's on a street with lots of upscale car showrooms so does not have a neighborhood feel. I moved to another hotel for my nights on my own, in the neighborhood near Hotel l'Empereur.
Do you have your hotel list yet? When do you travel?
