Paris Airport Hotel into City by public transit

We'll be out at an airport hotel with a full afternoon & evening we'd love to spend in Paris. Any tips on catching the train?! It looks like they run from the airport (T2?) every 15 minutes or so at a cost of around 10 Euro each way and takes 30-45 minutes? Also, is there a particular train stop in Paris that captures sights like the Eiffel Tower? Maybe get off on one stop, spend some time wandering/eating/people watching, then get back on another stop. Buy a single ticket for each trip or round trip?

We'll only have a CDC card, plus a California (not EU) QR code. I assume we can board a train. We weren't planning on spending time in a museum or inside buildings that may restrict entry. But maybe a restaurant.

Thanks for any comments!

The RER B line runs from the CDG Airport and stops at a few stations that are great to just get out and walk around from without having to transfer to the Metro line unless you wanted to. You can get out at Notre-Dame stop and explore those neighborhoods and/or walk/ride to a few other stops along the river depending on how many sites you want to get in-

There's the free CDGVAL airport shuttle/tram that connects the terminals, bus station and some of the hotels at the transit stop- really just depends on which hotel you're staying at but if its on the Airport property, should be easy-

The RER B departs CDG either from terminal 2 or Roissypôle every 6 to 9 minutes for Paris. Individual tickets are 10.30€ or you may purchase a zone 1-5 day pass, Navigo Jour, for 17.80€.

There are two Paris stops on the RER B which may be of particular interest: Châtelet or St Michel. If you want to see the Eiffel Tower, at St Michel, transition to the RER C line for the Champs de Mars exit. St Michel is also the exit to see Notre Dame and the reconstruction progress.

The US CDC card should get you into restaurants, particularly those in tourist areas.

If you use the RER B to return to CDG, be careful, as trains to CDG depart the same platforms as do trains to Mitry-Claye (which do not go to the airport).

Taking the RER-B from CDG to St. Michel Metro/RER stop and depending on your time walking along the Seine from the Metro/RER stop to the Eiffel Tower. The walk takes me about 1 hour, one-way. Then you can take the RER-C, taxi, Uber, BOLT or walk back to St. Michel. For my last 3 trips to Paris and my coming trip this Nov/Dec I always end my last evening walking from the Eiffel Tower along the Seine to St. Michel Metro/RER stop and enjoy the buildings, bridges and sites all lit up at night. You can choose to walk along the upper street level or down below at the river level.

Enjoy.
