We are planning a trip to Paris arriving on September 26-October 8. Is there a plan to shut down for regrouping/holiday in Paris after the Olympics end or will the city be moving as normal?

Paris Fashion Week is always the end of September so things will go along as usual. Sept is busy so I'd go ahead and get your hotel reservations in place. I'm going that first week of October and have booked 2 of my usual hotels for before and after a tour to Brittany and Normandy.
Let us know if you want hotel ideas. The prices had come down a LOT since the Olympic prices but I noticed they were much better after Oct 1 than in Sept.
