My fiancé and I are traveling in May to Paris and have booked his Normandy, Caen & Bayeau tours to visit WWII bucket list for 5 days. Now I have 5 days in Paris of my bucket list to share with him. Problem is, I can't figure out an itinerary! First trip to Paris for both of us. I want to see EVERYTHING but know that I can't. Bucket list for me is Eiffel Tower, Versailles,
Arc de Triomph, Norte Dame Cathedral, The Louvre, people watching on an outside table at a French cafe, river seine cruise, kissing on a romantic bridge under the Paris moonlight. BTW we are young seniors 60ish, so we can't do everything and biking, walking tours are out of the question. Staying in the 7th arr ANY ITINERARY suggestions are welcomed!!!
Add the Jardin du Luxembourg (Luxembourg Garden) to your list. Beautiful, huge public garden. Lots of locals go there as well as tourists. Great people watching.
You don't need to figure out an itinerary. Rick has done it for you. And if you don't have a guidebook yet I suggest you pick one of the many many many available. The items on your bucket list are the usual so you'll get lots of help from any guide books you settle on.

Your bucket list should be the start.
After that check out the Paris Museum Pass. Start with what is included, circle the sights that interest you, then sort them by area so you limit your walking on any particular day. Start your morning with the biggest attractions. Be there at least 30 minutes early to save much longer waits later. For five days, I'd go with a four day pass then see any desired sights, that aren't covered by the pass, on the fifth (or first) day.
