Paris accommodation with kitchenette solo traveler

Hello fellow travelers. I a single senior lady planning a stay in Paris in October. Can anyone recommend a specific place they’ve stayed that is either a small apartment or a hotel room with a fridge and microwave? I’ve googled to death and investigated a lot but The options appear endless and first hand experience from this trusted community would help. My budget is mid range and I’m flexible on location but need it to be safe as I am traveling alone. Thanks everyone!

S, F, 75+,solo traveler. ALWAYS use booking.com. Always rent an apt and I make sure it is decorated nicely, has big windows, washer, microwave, no more than 4 flights, less than $30 cleaning fee, close to a metro, I go to Paris sometimes for a month at a time, sometimes for a few days. I usually book 9 months out and amazingly that choice always turns out to be the best choice and certainly the most economical. Rent in lots of areas depending on the rest of my plans.

If you are lookung for a hotel that offers apartment like rooms, Citadines, Adagio, Fraser Suites and Residence Inn offer numerous locations.

The concept of hotel room with fridge and microwave is much less common than in the US (in my opinion). If you want any kitchen facilities, you need to look at apart'hotels - places like Citadines, Adagio, such as the previous commenter suggested. In my limited experience, the rooms may be small but you do get the flexibility of being able to do limited cooking. Or read the information on Booking really carefully. Some single travelers are happier being in a place with a reception desk to provide information and possibly security, others of us are fine just in an individual apartment.

I am not sure that I would recommend booking.com for apartment rentals.. I've read way too many scams lately.

I'd suggest going with apartment hotels as that also gives you a front desk etc... I've used Citadines and they have some well located and well priced locations. I have also used Residence Inns but IMHO the location in Paris was not great so I won't be using it again

Have a look at Guest Apartments. They've been around for a long time and I don't recall ever seeing a bad review of any of their apartments. They're all very centrally located, many on the Ile St. Louis, where their offices are located.

We have never used Citadines in Paris but have stayed several times at the Trafalgar Square Citadines in London. We were very happy with it - small kitchenette, separate sleeping area, small bedroom. Unlike a regular apartment (air B&B type), Citadines have a front desk which is usually open. They were also very accommodating about early check-in.

I stayed at Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris, the address is 53 ter Quai des Grands Augustins, It is right on the Seine. It had a kitchenette that had a fridge and microwave. I was quite pleased with the hotel room and the wonderful location.

In June we stayed at the Yuna Les Halles serviced apartments. This is a smaller company than Citadines or Adagio. We were very happy with it. You can reserve on Booking.com (as we did), but they also have their own booking site which tells you which units are available on a given date.

I also stayed at Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris recently, there was a small kitchenete in both our rooms. Helpful staff. A bit worn on the carpet, etc, but clean and perfect location.

You might try the Yooma Hotel. Am not sure if they have kitchenettes, but they are reasonably priced, and the location is near the Seine but away from the touristy areas. Peter

Especially since Covid have been traveling to Europe for months at a time, 99.9% of the time stay in lovely apts through booking.com. Not one issue so far. Leave for 5 weeks on the 7th and already booked for April/May in Italy. I've stayed in a floating house in Amsterdam, a palazzo in Venice, a seminary, a women's only and probably about 35 properties with no problems.
