Hi All,
This spring break we will be taking our kids on their first trip to Europe. The trip will be 2 weeks flying into Amsterdam and out of Paris (airfare yet to be purchased) and we are planning to start with 3 nights in Amsterdam, 3 nights in Belgium (Bruges or Brussels are the current top contenders) and 7 nights in Paris. We plan to use trains to travel from Amsterdam and Belgium to Paris.
It will be my 6th trip to Paris, my husband's 2nd to Paris/Europe. We will be staying a full week in Paris (March 28-April 4). I prefer the Marais area based on my experience, my husband and my interests and familiarity with the area. I am comfortable traveling from there to wherever else in Paris we would like to visit.
We know from experience that an apartment or hotel room with kitchenette will work best for us to accommodate snacking/food/meal needs and separate sleeping area for our still napping 4 year old. It will also give us all a little more space to relax and the opportunity to eat in and enjoy the spoils of the markets in Paris.
Just wondering if AirBnB and/or VRBO are still the go to sites for our needs?
We are also considering a trip to Disneyland Paris and are wondering if 1 day is sufficient to see both parks and if it is a better idea to "commute" from our Paris apartment or transition to a hotel or apartment near the parks. (If we opt to stay overnight near Disneyland, that would decrease the number of days we stay in Paris proper.)
Any suggestions are welcomed and greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance for sharing your expertise!
