I'm looking for information on getting to Parc St-Cloud by metro and/or train from St Germain des Pres metro stop. Which train station is best to get closest to the park? Once there I plan to walk to the bike rentals. Has anyone done that? Thanks!

I've been there but afraid I can't tell you. Google Maps App is amazing though... you put in your start location and end location and it tells you exactly what to do. I highly recommend it. Would not travel without it.

If you walk to the nearby Metro station of Mabillon, you can take Metro Line 10 to the end of the line at Boulogne - Pont de Saint-Cloud. Then walk over the river to the park.

And for what its worth, the Musee Albert Kahn Gardens at the St. Cloud Bologne stop of that same metro are quite worth a visit as is the collection of anthropological photos collected by Albert Kahn and housed there.
