Hi all,
We are arriving in Paris next week! For our short 2-day stay, I was planning on purchasing the 10-pack (carnet) of paper tickets to share amongst the three of us. This seems like the most economical choice. (We will only be traveling within central Paris and no airport transfers needed)
My question is, for the convenience, would it be worth the extra cost for each of us to purchase Navigo Easy cards and load them with the two-day passes?
*we will be there Friday and Saturday.
Yeah that new navigo easy is a better idea. Those little carnet tickets are easy to lose in your pocket in transit and you will get a fine if you make a mistake losing it between getting on and getting off at your stop on a random check

For two days I would just buy a carnet of ordinary tickets. Each time you travel have a particular pocket that you use for the ticket and then throw it away when you are out of the system and on the street. Depending on your travel plans and location of your hotel, 5 tickets is plenty for 2 days.

For two days I would just get a carnet of tickets - that's five rides for a couple - and then just buy individual tickets for any additional rides.
The Navigo Easy is just a plastic way to replace metro tickets and is charged per use. There are separate Navigo Day - Navigo Jour - and Week passes but they are different and cover more transport than you want/need and don't make much sense for a day tripper inside Paris.
And save your last ones - they're going to be gone in a year or so and will be like souvenir francs.
Enjoy Paris,
