Has anyone taken the Overlord tour of the beaches of Normandy you take the train from Paris and meet the tour in Bayeux? How early do you have catch the train in Paris?

You can check the train schedules on SNCF Connect for the exact time on your date.
The direct train from Gare St Lazare to Bayeux takes about 2.5 hours so if you were taking the tour in the morning, you’d probably have to take a train leaving around 6am.
I’ve taken two full day tours in Normandy (although not with Overlord). I stayed in Bayeux. Personally, I wouldn’t want to do this as a day trip. Five hours on the train round-trip and a full day driving around would be a lot.

I agree with Laura. We have stayed in Bayeux twice and took an Overlord tour on our send trip. It was excellent. You wouldn’t have to spend two nights, though Bayeux is lovely. You could come the night before the tour and spend the night, returning to Paris after the tour. When I took the tour in 2022 I’m recalling that it meet by Hotel Churchill.

At the hotel. I stayed at a hotel in Bayeux. Hotels will hold your luggage after checkout.
