Is this something that must be used to visit both in one day, or can it be used on different days? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can’t seem to find my answer on the website. It says you can purchase the ticket “for use within 3 months” but I don’t know if that’s the advance purchase window or a time to use it for the other after you go to one.
I agree that the wording is a bit vague. I did find this note on the website of the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau: "- Access to the second museum is valid until the expiration date of your ticket", which to me sounds like you can use it on different days but one visit only to each museum within the valid dates of the ticket. Here's their website. Maybe there's a way to contact them with questions or to verify the information on their website.
We bought combo tickets, couldn't use the second part on the remaining days of our trip, gave them to friends who were going to Paris the next month and they were able to use them within the 3-month validity. So no, same-day is NOT required.
Quick question. I am heading to Paris next week, and want to order my tickets online. However, the site seems to be only in French? I want to make sure I order the correct tickets - were you able to navigate the site ok?

Glenn, are you on the d’Orsay site? For me it auto-detected my location and came up in English. But you can change the language. On a regular browser look to the far right under the main banner, click a language choice. On a mobile device, find in the top corner three parallel lines, click for drop down menu, scroll down to “langue” (“language”) and choose English.
Thanks for the answers, everyone. Glad to know we can split the visits. Kids can only handle so much art in one day, ha!
Thank you!! I switched to a different browser (was using Safari), and had no issues - thanks again!!!

Did you order? For you and perhaps others, we had no problems buying them at the gate. I see no big advantage of ordering them early. We were there last October and there was no line to either museum.
Both are wonderful. I suggest devoting at least an afternoon. We arrived mid-morning at the L'Orangerie. We had lunch in their excellent café, then walked over to the D'Orsay. We spent the entire afternoon entranced.
I have not yet ordered. I have been to the D'Orsay a few times - I am traveling with my youngest daughter for this trip, and wanted to make things as easy as possible for her. Given that they are good for 3 months, and so easy on the internet, I'll go ahead and order - 1 less thing to worry about for sure!

There is a Picasso show on now so expect fairly long line-ups. I enjoy buying a ticket for D’Orsay’s lunch time concerts. Excellent music performed by various international artists. Ticket very reasonable less than €20. Access is thru special entrance so no line-up then, once the concert is over, walk from the auditorium straight into the art part of D’Orsay.
Yes you can use it on another day - we did this during the summer and it was about a week between visits. You have to use the ticket within three months of purchase but if I remember right I think it's good for 30 days.
