Best way to go round trip please any advice helpful
Taxi to Gare de L'Est followed by a TGV for the trip to Strasbourg and flip that for the trip back.
As you say Orly airport, I guess you are flying into Paris Orly from somewhere.
There are no flights from Paris to Strasbourg, so you can't do an add-on connecting flight, which would be the simplest. There are no flights from any Paris airport to Strasbourg, the TGV High Speed trains have put the flights on this route out of business.
You need to get to Paris Est station, from which you can get a TGV to Strasbourg. the trains run approximately every 1-2 hours (07:39, 09:18, 10:49, 12:47, 13:37, 14:47, 15:18, 16:39) and take approx 1h55.
But you first have to get to Gare de L'Est, which requires a short shuttle train from Orly to RER line B, and then the métro to Gare de L'Est.
Are there any stations between Paris and Strasbourg that the TGV stops at? My husband and I would like to spend a few days somewhere on our way to Colmar. I should note that we are trying to keep to a tight budget so we do not intend to rent a car. We will use the train as much as possible and the buses if necessary. Thanks!
The question about a stopover between Paris and Colmar has been posted and is being answered in a separate thread.
