Orly Airport

Hi Everyone-

Thank you in advance for your answers. Due to some last minute changes, we are now thinking of going to the Dordogne at the beginning of our trip. We would fly into Toulouse and rent a car to explore the region. We are debating on flying directly Toulouse after our international flight or spending the night at an airport hotel to stretch our legs and relax. We are flying with Icelandair and will clear customs in Iceland.

My question to everyone - When we land in Orly, are you taken out of security? Or, do you stay in the secured area and go to the gate, like making a domestic connection here in States? Unfortunately, our tickets do not tell us if we are landing at Terminal Ouest or Terminal Sud. I know if we switch Terminals, we will need to clear security again. I'm trying to get general info to help us make the decision.

Thanks again!

If you're not flying on a connected ticket (i.e. Iceland air to Iceland air), I think you have to exit the secure zone no matter what terminal you arrive in. Since you're not "connecting" to your own airline's follow-on flight, you have to go back out to the departure check-ins to check in with the new company.
