Organized Land Tour for Normandy/Brittany

Interested in recommendations for best bus tour of this area. We want to tour Normandy, Mont St Michel and St-Malo. Other included venues are fine. Would also appreciate any good websites with reviews of companies, i.e. Collette, Insight, etc. No set dates for travel.

Well, I did a fabulous Road Scholar tour of Brittany and Normandie in May. The itinerary was excellent and the guide was fabulous. I've done a bunch of Rick Steves tours and this guide was up there in the very best category. I particularly was interested in the tour because it went to the ancient standing stones at Carnac. I loved that but what I really enjoyed were the small towns of Brittany as well as the history and culture of the area. This tour spends 3 nights in Saint-Malo which I thought was wonderful! What a neat place. It goes to Mont Saint-Michel on one of the full days at Saint-Malo. It also does 2 days in the DDay landing area. One day for Omaha, Pointe du Hoc, American Cemetery and one for Arromanches/Mulberry Harbor and Caen Museum. Our guide worked in short visits to Pegasus Bridge and Longue-sur-Mer as well.

Here is the link to the Road Scholar site:

By the way, if Rick Steves ever offers a similar tour I'll be the first to sign up!

For the Brittany part of your trip, you may be interested in other places than only the portion between Saint Malo and Mont Saint Michel, for example Dinan, Fougères, Cape Fréhel, Rennes... and on the south coast of Brittany, why not consider Vannes, Gulf of Morbihan, Carnac or even to the western tip (Concarneau, Pont-Aven, Douarnenez...). Whatever the area you choose, you could stop not only along the coastline, but also in small authentic Breton towns, like Rochefort en Terre or La Gacilly.
