Orangerie museum ticket saga

Back in March, I posted about a problem with payment for Orangerie tix for a June visit. Over several weeks after that I kept trying but just got errors of all kinds. This month I acquired a second e-mail address, a Gmail acct and was finally able to set up the required Orangerie account. Before I was using a .net address which the website did not like. I was then able to purchase tix with the same Visa card I had used before.

None of this was easy. The website is very glitchy, sometimes the calendar for ticket availability would not come up and various other problems. So I finally got the tickets but it was a frustrating experience. The only advice for others I have is to keep trying and maybe use a different e- mail address if necessary if you have problems with the site.

I had the same trouble with the payment system for the Louvre, and have had it in other places in Europe also. It appears that .net email addresses don't seem legitimate to some systems. I've had a Juno address for decades, and I try that if my .net address seems to be holding things up. Sometimes it's hard to tell what the problem is though, until after you've tried everything else. Glad you were able to get the tickets you wanted.

Hmmm this is a good piece of intel ! I never would have thought of this - and my parents have a .net email address. Thanks for sharing this problem and solution ! What a pain - that is great that you figured it out.

I was able to purchase "timed" tickets for The Orangerie Museum without any issues, I use Gmail, and the process was not so challenging!

Just an added note. I also had to use the Gmail address for Saint Chappele tix but the problem with the .net address was apparent right away. No prior account set- up was required so whole ticket buying process was easier. Hope this helps anyone else having problems.
