This looks coherent: you have researched your trip and decided what you want to do and where you want to go.

Hotel by the Louvre. at the hotel by noon right?

You may get there from the airport before that. Check with them to see what time you can check in.
They may let you leave your bag if you are too early.

How are you able to visit Coco Chanel's apartment? I have heard it is not open to the public. I am wondering if there is now a tour that provides access. Thank you.

Jazz- I wasn't sure if I was being overly ambitious and underestimating the time it may take.

I'm just realizing I can't go into her apartment. I thought there was a tour of her apartment, but was mistaken..

This looks like a wonderful 2-week itinerary. You will be busy, but it looks doable to me. Just remember to be flexible if there's a delay somewhere along the line that throws you behind schedule. If you find yourselves getting tired and cranky, plan ahead on your priorities so you can scale back and relax a bit.

For example, I see you haven't allowed half a day for laundry each week and I'm sure you won't want to be carrying 2 weeks' worth of clean clothes. So, you'll either be using Rick's awesome clothesline and washing your essentials in the hotel every night, or else availing yourselves of a laundry drop-off service (either through your hotel or at a nearby coin laundry). Nothing wrong with that, just be aware of the options and the time/energy/cost tradeoffs.

Have you posted on the Italy forum? I am wondering about Day 2 in Florence? It is between 2 and 3 hours by train from Florence to get there so 4 to 6 hours of your day trip will be spent in transit. It's doable but it will be a long day. What Michelangelo related sights do you plan to see in Florence? I ask because I bought tickets ahead of time the last time I was in Florence (in 2012) and still ended up waiting a long time in line to get in. Of course, that is anecdotal and maybe we just had back luck with the pre-bought tickets but there was no way we could have done the Uffizi and the Accademia on the same day with the waits that we had at both.

I'm thinking it's too much and will be cranky and exhausted. My thought was to knock out the museums when they first open instead of a fast pass to avoid the long lines. Then, find some down time during the day/evening. Sound reasonable?
I'm definitely doing laundry- every few nights if not daily. I'm only packing for 1 week and planning on getting a few dresses/outfits while I'm out there.

I haven't posted on the Italy post- great idea! I may scale back on my museums in general-lots of museums in 2 weeks! JHK, thanks, I think you're right and I may visit Accademia before leaving Florence on Day 3.
