The official Louvre website has several USA country codes. How does one know which to choose? My Visa payment keeps being denied; I’m wondering if it’s due to the country code

Are you getting the choices for "country code" when you get to the "create an account" page? I'm only seeing one US option there (sometimes some say US outlying islands or something). I didn't go thru the whole process because I have to create a new password according to the ticketing page (old sign in).

I usually charge tickets on my American Express card and don't have problems. Sometimes VISA cards are a problem. Can you change devices (like book on your phone or tablet)?

The US has only one country code for phones +1. or 001.

The Louvre is showing several Country Codes as United States 1201, 1202, 1203 and so on up to 1500. No way to know which will work. Tried so many times it kicked me out.

Louvre website lists the +1 (code for US) followed by area code. The list is very long. Just drop down and find the area code for your phone. For example, the Boston area code is 617. So I chose 1617 and it worked.

Yes, I just used the US +1 and my area code to create an account and it worked fine with my Visa card. The Louvre sent a confirmation code to my email that had to be input in order to continue.
Yay, I have my ticket with the Welcome to the Louvre guided tour!
