One night in Paris, flight and usa required covid test

Hi, we are traveling from Istanbul to USA via Paris cdg. Our flight from Istanbul to Paris was cancelled and we were rebooked on an earlier flight to Paris, we arrive in Paris at 5 pm and leave the next day at 10:20am. We booked a hotel near cdg with a shuttle to get airport.

Any Ideas about what to do in our short time in Paris? Do we need 3 hours to check in at cdg?

Can we get the covid test to enter the Usa at the airport? If we get it in Istanbul it will be over 24 hours old.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can get the test when you arrive before checking into your hotel. The lab test hours don’t work for you, but Valerie has posted a link to CDG pharmacies, see below.
Kim just mentioned the proctored covid tests sold in the US, Binax Now. Download the app before you leave the US, though.

Yes, you need three hours for ckeck-in.

@Bets - further clarification about something I was trying to sort out. We’re doing this same thing in May - one night at the airport before a flight home. I’ve been tracking both the DoctoLib reservation idea and the pharmacy in the 2E area. https://www.parisaeroport.fr/en/passengers/services/pharmacies

Do you know if the pharmacy still a good second option? My research indicates we can test there as well, but, as is often the case with my research, I can be wrong:) The pharmacy shows as open until 8pm.

Valerie, I just looked at your link and it looks like a good option, 7/7 open until 8 pm. Game changer for OP, Cynthia.

I’d avoid it in the morning, but the airport is usually fairly empty late in the day. It’s too bad there’s no phone number for the pharmacy to verify.
