One Day Paris Transit Pass

Hi,

We will will be in Paris for 7 days. For the 6 days, we will be using the Paris Pass, which will cover transportation in Central Paris. Unfortunately, we cannot return the Pass. For the 7 th day, we would like to see places in Paris that are not covered under the Paris Pass such as the Luxemborg Garden, etc. Is there a one day Paris transit pass where we can use the trains or buses to get to attractions in Paris? For one day, how can we save money on bus and train? We need bus or train to get us to places for one day. We do not drive. What would you do if you were in our case? Thank you so much for your help.

Please don't get a Paris Pass, it is way over priced. Having said that, its your vacation and your money, so you are allowed to spend it as you like.
Luxembourg Gardens is not outside the city, its smack in the middle.
There is the Mobilis, which is a day pass for Paris transit. Zones 1-2 is 7.50 EUR per person. For 2 people. that would be 15 EUR, but you can get a carnet (10-pack of single ride tickets) for 14.90 EUR and that would cover 5 trips each.
If you really are a math robot, calculate the cost of getting around and seeing the museums vs the Paris Pass. It'll be an eye opener.

Much of central Paris is easily (and more enjoyably) explored on foot: highly recommended that you do as much sightseeing that way as possible. My husband and I shared a carnet of 10, t+ tickets between us (currently 14,90 €) and it lasted an entire week with 2 tickets left over! These tickets do not work if you're staying too far from center, however. Did you change your hotel location from clear out near CDG (I hope)?

It is too late for the OP who bought this dog already and its included overpriced Paris Visite. For the last day you can buy a Mobilis Pass which is about 7.50 for central Paris. A carnet of ordinary tickets costs 14.90 for 10 so if there are only two of you might as well get the pass although since they are phasing out the individual metro ticket, you could keep the extras in the carnet for souvenirs.
