One day cooking classes in Paris in English

Hoping to find a reasonable priced cooking class in September. Perhaps one with a market tour.
Any recommendations?

I took four classes at La Cuisine Paris last month and I enjoyed them thoroughly. One was "Bellies on Foot," which involved visiting a number of markets and enjoying the purchases back at the school. Great fun and an interesting tour - delicious, too! The other three were cooking classes - Brioche/Baba, Baguettes, and Intensive Macarons. Very hands on and all excellent classes. We used equipment and supplies that a home cook in the US would have access to. The class sizes were small, mine had participants from a number of countries, but we're taught in English. We spent three weeks in Paris and these classes were a highlight for me.

Agree with above comments. I also took 2 classes last year. Very helpful, spoke English, and delicious at the end when we consumed what we had prepared. One chef was from the U.S. and was great in explaining French butter v. American made butter in the pastry class..

The only one I've tried was a cooking demonstration through Le Cordon Bleu, which I certainly enjoyed, but it was not hands-on. Rick recommends a few others on p. 1206 of his France book or p. 701 of Paris.

Thank you. La Cuisine, is what I have been looking at, so I will probably go there. We have a month to enjoy all things Paris and a cooking class is on my bucket list.

Cookin' with Class is another cooking school. I've used both it and La Cuisine Paris and can recommend both. The former is in Montmartre and the latter is more centrally located on the right bank across from Notre Dame. Both have excellent websites with their schedules and pricing. You can book.online.

I've also done several La Cuisine hands-on cooking classes and enjoyed them. They offer a range of classes costing from 65 euros to 150 euros. I also lucked into a demonstration class at Le Cordon Bleu a couple of years ago - also very well done (English translator) and it was a real pleasure to be at that most famous of cooking schools!
