On line ticketing site for Notre Dame towers no longer available?

I’ve tried getting onto the official website just to check to see how far in advance on the calendar tickets are currently available (something I’ve been able to do in the past). I’ve tried several times over the past week but keep getting an error message saying “online ticketing is temporarily unavailable. It is not possible to purchase new tickets for the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral at this time. You can still access the monument if you already have a ticket or have booked your visit.

Does anyone know what’s going on? Other sites (e.g. Arc de Triomphe) have ticketing calendars still seeming to work.

We purchased the Passion Monuments pass because even though we’re only in Paris a few days it was a better deal than paying separately for each entrance. But the towers were #1 on our list (I climbed up many decades ago as a college student and always wanted to do so once more).

Thanks!

Ruth, this is the translated response I received from CMN this morning asking how to get tickets to the Towers of Notre Dame

Due to a technical issue, our online ticketing service is temporarily unavailable. Our teams are working diligently to restore access as quickly as possible.

While we are resolving the issue, you can purchase tickets at the box office, subject to availability.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

OK, I just got the email and it’s in French which took me a few minutes

Basically, the passion monuments of France website was hacked. The email basically said that my data probably wasn’t leaked but might have been.

For point of reference, we went to Saint Chappelle the first week of February and probably bought those tickets early in January.

For those are you wondering what I’m planning to do. The answer is actually nothing. I work in cyber security. I’m well aware that my credit card number is all over the dark web. There’s really not a whole lot you can do besides monitor accounts carefully. Or live completely off the grid using cash only which is not realistic.

Hi! The reservation system is back up now (but it may still be a little buggy) :)

Hi Emily — can you please tell me how you were able to access the ticket calendar today? I have gone to the official ND website/Practical Information/Visit/Towers of Notre Dame but when I click on Tickets instead of seeing the ND Towers ticket page like I used to, I’m seeing the Passion Monuments ticketing home page and it’s only showing 12 of the monuments. I can get to the Towers from the Passion Monuments homepage, but I’m back to the initial towers page where I click on book your visit and am returned to the same Passion Monuments ticket page with 12 monument options only. Same circle multiple times around.

I tried logging in from the passion monuments page but it’s telling me my password is invalid and not giving me an option to reset it. Yikes!

I’m guessing there are still problems with the system because when I tried to reset my password I never got the email that should have been sent…

I have also been trying for Towers of Notre Dame tickets for the past several days and until today, I wasn't able to even get as far as the non-working calendar. I'm hoping this indicates they are restoring the site gradually. Interestingly, if I when I'm on the overall site https://tickets.monuments-nationaux.fr/en-GB/home but do not chose the English translation option, it does display the Towers of Notre Dame as one of the options. Alas, its calendar is still empty. I'm just going to keep checking - We plan to be there in one month -- Fingers Crossed

Ruth , try booking your Passion tickets without logging in.

There is an option after selecting #of tickets, date & time that will allow you to continue without an account. You won't need your password for this.

You'll receive immediate confirmation with tickets in PDF as well as an email with your tickets.

Hi Ruth,

I've been following your post as we're waiting for tickets to be available in April for the Towers of Notre Dame using the Passion Monuments pass. I just got through to the end and printed our tickets! I had to do it all in French, for some reason if I switched to English it wouldn't allow me to go through with the purchase.

I still haven't been able to purchase the Passion Monuments pass, but hoping that will come about soon (fingers crossed).

I hope you can get your tickets now :)

Hi Ruth,

Did you try ordering from the French "side" of the reservation system? Sometimes there's issues with the pages that are in other languages, even though it's built on the same platform (this can be a common issue on websites in general, not just the CMN reservation system, I saw this fairly often when I used to work in the web industry!).

If you go to https://www.tours-notre-dame-de-paris.fr/visiter/informations-pratiques and click on the ticketing link, it should lead you directly to the reservation system. :)

Emily — merci beaucoup! I was able to use your link to book our tickets (I’m actually shocked tickets for June are already available). I was able to get a 9:00 a.m. spot on our preferred date. I printed the tickets and have the email saved on my phone. Thanks so much!

The only glitch is that I’m still unable to sign in to my Passion Monuments account. It doesn’t accept my password and I once again tried to have a password reset sent to my email with no luck. Which is weird because my original membership (purchased last month) was emailed and received successfully, as were the tickets I’ve just purchased. I’m notorious for messing up passwords and may have written this on down incorrectly….but I know they’ve successfully emailed me in the past. I’ve checked my spam folder. I just sent a request for support to the “contact us” address.

Any ideas on how to regain access to my account? Am I going to need to be able to log in to purchase tickets for other monuments (Pantheon panorama, Arc de Triomphe, etc)?

Thanks!

Good News! The ticketing is back up and running. I just ordered tickets for a day in April when we'll be in Paris.

Ruth, as I mentioned previously, you don't need to sign in to your account to book tickets for any venue using your Passion Monuments Subscription.

As long as you download your tickets or keep the email to show upon entrance, you won't need to log in to your account.

Hello-I have been trying for several days to book timed tickets for the Notre dame towers climb. I followed the advice from previous posters and clicked on link for french version-it still won't work. I am using the passion monuments pass option(which I haven't purchased yet, that's not the problem, right?) I click on type of ticket, update cart, click on day and then time. It goes through and then I have to click again to validate the date-I always get the message that this session is no longer available. We've even tried different days and time and still get the same error message-any ideas?
Thanks,
Shelley

Hi Ruth,

You're welcome! In the February release, an additional month of time slots were released. Usually in the February release, they would release April & May, but this time April, May & June were all released. This is likely due to it coming into the high season!

As for your Passion Monuments account login, I'm sorry to say that I don't have insights on that. But no, you don't need to login to book tickets. Hopefully they will respond to you shortly!

Hi Shelly,

The reservation system is still a little buggy! If you try now, do you still have the issue? It worked for me about 10 minutes ago.

Shelly, after obtaining our Notre Dame tower tickets I attempted to get onto a few other booking sites that accept the Passion Monuments pass. I wanted to figure out time slots (first and last of the day) and make sure I understood at what point and how I indicated I had the pass — which definitely varies from site to site! I was unable to navigate all the way through to “purchase tickets” in multiple attempts on any of the 3 sites (Pantheon, Hotel de la Marine, Conceirgerie). I was able to select the ticket type, date, and time and either had the same experience as you, getting the “no longer available” message, OR I got stuck in an endless loop where when I selected “confirm date and time” I returned back to the initial page to choose ticket type. I’m suspecting there are still glitches with the system.

I was able to book our ND tower tickets yesterday morning, which would have been during business hours in France. I tried the others late afternoon my time, which would have been night time in France. Not sure if that mattered. I’m too busy with work to try again today or tomorrow, but thought I’d try again during business hours on Monday.

Ruth,

If it's any help I think for 2 of your 3 Pantheon and Concerigerie you don't really need a reservation.

Thank you Emily and Ruth-I went on this morning and was able to get through and complete my reservation for Notre Dame Towers. I am also wanting to purchase the passion monuments pass but am unable to, per their website. I am also trying for Hotel de la Marine and keep getting an oops! message. Chateau de Chantilly is also down for online ticket ordering. What a mess. I had no idea it would be this hard to make reservations.

"I had no idea it would be this hard to make reservations."

There has apparently been a cyber attack that has affected many of the ticketing sites. While it's sometimes not easy, right now it's really difficult.
