I want to make ticket purchases for the Eiffel Tower for a May trip and successfully accessed the site www.tour-eiffel.fr site for several days now as Rick recommends, but for the life of me I cannot find the link to make a purchase. The sight indicates "For individual visitors, bookings may be made on www.tour-eiffel.fr." but no indication on which page or where the link is located. I hope it is a temporary site issue, or maybe I am just very website challenged! So can anyone with successful ticket purchase experience guide me to the individual (or group) active ticket purchase link on the tour-Eiffel site?
Did you start from this point . . . http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/en/preparing-your-visit/buying-your-tickets.html . . . then scroll down and read ALL the instructions BEFORE you click on the link to buy the tickets? Try again and see if that works.
Note also that the tickets go on sale 90 days out. Within 2 days, the time slots are all booked. Right now, if your trip is May 10 or earlier, they are gone. Here's a link to a picture of what I see on the website for May 10 which is tomorrow for us but in France, it looks like maybe 91 days. May 12 is wide open so I suspect they are not yet on sale yet. http://gyazo.com/0301031a9aa5077e881ede884cc7aa86
You've got the correct website. Click on "Tickets" in the orange box in the upper right. On the next page you see, scroll down to the two orange rectangles that say "Buy Your Eiffel Tower Ticets - Individual Rates" or the next one down for groups. Read the instructions below before selecting one of the two. Select the appropriate one and fill out sections 1, 2 and 3.
The tickets go on sale at 8:30 each morning. Here's what the website says for May 12. http://gyazo.com/5f84a43c9171d8326071fd30665731ab I believe that 8:30 in Paris is 6hrs ahead of our East Coast and 9hrs ahead of our West Coast. Looks like you will be online somewhere between 11:30pm and 2:30am to get a chance to get the tickets. If not, you can always book with Viator or some other tour agency.
