Hello fellow Rickniks! My husband and I (early 30s) will be spending Christmas in Paris, and want to check out another region for 4 or 5 days over New Year's. Ideally would spend NYE in a city/larger town and then two days or so driving around the countryside. Looking for tips on where would be good for this time of year! Some areas we are considering are:
- Lyon/Beaujolais (we went to Lyon in the summer several years ago and LOVED it, but may want to try somewhere new)
- Strasbourg/Alsace
- Normandy/Brittany (this is top of our list for France generally, but heard it can be very rainy that time of year)
- Annecy
If there is somewhere else delightful we have not thought of, any advice would be appreciated!
