We are staying by Notre Dame and are trying to get to Versailles tomorrow via the metro. We are a little confused by the closure from Musee D'Orsay to Invalides. What would be the best way around this? We are planning on leaving around 7:45am.

Try using ratp.fr/en to map out your trips. My initial thought is you should take Line 10 to Javel-Andre-Citroen and exit and walk over to Javel on RER C and take the Versailles Rive Gauche bound train to the last stop. Assuming you do not have a Navigo, be sure to purchase a ticket for Versailles and not just use a regular metro ticket.
