Notre Dame Souvenir

I have been by the small gift stand in the Cathedral and don't recall seeing T-shirts (might be wrong); it seemed to be mostly rosaries, post cards, and icons, but of course take a look. There are lots of souvenir shops in the area of the Cathedral and I would be surprised if there were not some that carry such items. If you google Notre Dame Paris t-shirt you will find some available on Amazon and other vendors. One had a graphic of the front of the Cathedral over 'Notre Dame Paris'. But I'll bet some souvenir shop right around the Cathedral will have something that would work. I would expect them to have pictures of the Cathedral, but also perhaps some with the rose window.

I'm not seeing any clothing under the "The Shop" tab of the Notre Dame website (weblink below) but as Janet suggested, you might find something in random souvenir shops in the area.

I just Googled “Notre Dame Paris sweatshirts” and there are many to choose from. More special to buy it in Paris though, even in a tacky souvenir shop. Notre Dame Cathedral does not sell t-shirts or sweatshirts.

And since you will be there a few days don't jump to buy until you are sure there isn't something exactly like you want. I personally love photo placemats -- giant photo pressed in plastic. Paris has dozens of totally tacky options (hearts or cats superimposed on the mat etc etc) but I found just what I was looking for at the souvenir stand near the Carrousel on Montmartre -- so take your time with it and I bet you find something you will like and your son will enjoy wearing. (although finding both those things is always tricky-- I bought t-shirts for my son when he was a teen when traveling and it is an art to find what he likes and I like too)

If they're open, there are souvenir shops across the small street on the left (as you look at the front) of Notre Dame. I'm pretty sure they will have something you may like. If not, there are souvenir places all over Paris.

Given the recent devastating fire at Notre Dame de Paris ... maybe he would prefer to wear his own college sweatshirt ??

10 to 1, you will find an article of clothing close to the cathedral. Where there's money to be made, you will find a shop. I'd bet that pretty soon, you will be able to buy something where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the rebuilding. That would make it even sweeter. Buy something with a really weird gargoyle on it. That's the stuff my boys liked the best.

I'm guessing that within a few weeks or less, you will have an opportunity to buy a Notre Dame shirt/sweatshirt with a portion of the proceeds going to a restoration fund.
